How is that possible? Wasn't cybersniff a physical object that emited smells after scratching?

Yes, it was, and no, GOG hasn't invented smell-emitting computer technology.

All you get is a scan of the card; there's no description of the smells or anything else beyond an image.

Add it to the Wishlist!
I really thought it would be more than just the simple – and utterly useless – scan. The guys at GOG could have at least added written descriptions of the smells to the PDF. This must be the most useless bonus ever.
Oh well. I just got the collection for $5, so it's not really a big deal. You can imagine how the smells are anyways, since they occur in very unique locations.

Yes, because the cybersniff was so useful the first time around!
I don't really know *how* useful it might have been back in the day. I only remember the Scratch & Sniff card from Infocom's "Leather Goddesses of Phobos". And that one was pretty neccessary in order to complete the game.

I have the original sniff and scratch card from LSL7 here and believe me - you do not miss a thing. It only smelled a little bit (and after a while it does not smell at all) and there is really no use for it.
