Hi has anyone else found this problem?

either a keypress does nothing or repeated keypresses means moving / turning to far, which is making the pit trap on hallways lvl 5 a real pita!, have found this an intermittant problem throughout the game but never more so now.

tried new batteries / wired keyboard, still does the same.

cheers for any advice!

I think there is a certain timing to movement - if you press a key too soon after the last move it will register in the game a little later rather than immediately and this makes it easy to press too many times as it feels like the key did not work the first time. Once you get used to it I think it can actually help you move around timed puzzles quickly, as it works a little like queuing one instruction giving you more time to think of the next move.

Dungeon Master had the same feel to it, so I guess the devs made it like this deliberately.
Cheers for the reply,

Yeah I guess you are right, I'ver managed to get this frar (lvl 5) without it being to much of a problem (still a damn fine game).

will just have to press on (see what i did there) and have a few more goes...

ah well..
