It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

What was the number of build you downloaded? If 1.0.0.8 then your game should be patched to 1.1.4.

Yeah, it was 1.0.0.8, and the game was still 1.1.3. ;/

Arteveld: Yeah, it was 1.0.0.8, and the game was still 1.1.3, though, i was sure 1.0.0.8 was what i've downloaded on the 11th, since i have no other file in the download directory. ;)
previous version was 1.0.0.6, so it's unlikely.
Try deleting setup file and redownloading. And remember, you actually have to reinstall the game.

I just downloaded LoG from account, installed it and it shows 1.1.4 therefore I'm fairly certain the updated version is already on servers.

Yeah, i've just checked my pendrive.

I was installing over, my bad, sorry for the commotion then. Thanks ;)

Same issue here. Downloaded the 334mb installer through my browser and the GOG downloader. Installed each one and checked the game each time. Still listed as 1.1.3 and I am sure it was installed over the previous version because the installer gave me the "X already exists" warning.

Edit: Checked the previous messages... Wait, you mean UN-install and RE-install? That's not exactly an implied part of a re-download.. and what about saved games if this is true?

Edit 2: Yeah, you might want to make those steps a lot more clear. As back up saves, uninstall and reinstall are a lot different than just telling someone to redownload the installer.

Thus, the need to REinstall, as in, uninstall the previous version [don't worry it asks if You want to keep Your savegames] and then install the new one.

Backup your saves and make a clean install (as in: uninstall LoG beforehand);

Edit: ninja'd ;)

I had an error message after reinstalling and starting the game. There seems to be an issue with the D3DX9_43.dll, which lies in the game directory. According to the error message it does not to fit to the game Version. After renaming it / deleting it, the game starts normally with new version.
So everyone who has this error, delete the file D3DX9_43.dll in the game directory. The game shouldn't use this file, as the correct one seems to be FreeImage.dll, as far as I can see when comparing the filesizes.

Hmm. Worked straight away for me.

Downloaded. Ran new installer (1.0.0.8, not 1.0.0.6) and it just installed perfectly.

Game reports version 1.1.4 when I start it and the new options are there. Haven't loaded a save game though.

tarasis: Thats painful, hopefully for the next version they can do a manual patch for non Steam users. Particularly those on limited bandwidth.

dete: I agree that a manual/separate patch would be best, but is anyone even on limited bandwidth anymore?
I know a few people who are still on limited bandwidth per month, but yes many aren't.

Same here... the official forum suggest the same workaround above, and it works for me too
Same problem with "D3DX9_43.dll" here. Solution worked.

anomaly: - bug fix: standing on stairs and turning with the mouse, followed by a turn using q/e keys is buggy
That's still buggy, as it still makes us take the stairs back instead of just turning.
