"armor", i suppose. It doesn't slow you down once you reach sufficient levels and reduces damage for things you can't evade.

I think it's a matter of personal preference. The battles haven't been too hard so far so it hasn't mattered much anyway. But the question I asked myself when making the party was "do I want a tank or a blow dodger", and then I realized I wanted both. So therefor, my minotaur fighter is taking all the hits since he has the best armor and a fair amount of hitpoints, and the lizardman rogue next to him dodges most of the blows.

Besides the armor skills, fighters end up being able to soak a lot more damage in the long run, and their weapon skills mean they end up being able to deal a lot more as well (except when you can get behind enemies, but that's not always an option).

Rabish, did you not read the original post or what? Weapon skills don't matter because they both are using Unarmed and have the same skill for it.

Regarding the initial question, Fighters get Athletics and the ability to wear heavy armor without penalty. Rogues get Dodge and Assassination. It's basically a matter of choosing to be tougher or harder to hit, and I really couldn't tell you which is better.
