Hi

While Updating to the most actual version i get this error:
You must enter a full path with drive letter; for example:
c:\APP
or a UNC path in the form:
\\server\share

[OK]

Thats it.

I reinstalled the game - no effect
I copied the patch in the game-directory - no effect.
I redownloaded game and patch and reinstalled both - no effect.

Version ingame says: 1.1.3

And by the way:
Where can i find the editor?
Searched i a lot, but found nothing.

Sorry you are having such trouble. I downloaded the Patch today and installed fine and I have had the game installed since I bought it. The Editor is available from the main menu - It says Dungeon Editor I believe.

thanks.
there is no such point in my main menu.
tried to reinstall the game today after the third download of game and patch.
Still the same error.

Where did you install the game?
Mine is g:\Legend of Grimrock

Also tried c:\log
but with the same error.

Here my system, if this could help:

Win 7 HP64
16 gb ram
Intel 2500k ( no OC)
6950/2gb ( no OC)

everything is up to date, expect the graphic-driver, because the newer Versions cause some trouble with missing textures.

are you sure? Did it just myself: downloaded 1.02.15 full and patch 1.0.3.16 and it brought my LoG to most recent 1.3.6 (while with error message on patching.)

Also, there are also direct updates by almsot human for those with update problems. grimrock_1_3_1_to_1_3_6_patch
grimrock_1_1_4_to_1_3_1_patch

And as hint to gog: And again, the GOG-version re-numbering of patches and full versions is completly user-intransparent and confusing!!!! PLEASE stop this ! :( (Complaints here)

your base version is not 1.3.1, you have to download the base version again.
maybe deinstall before installation or install to another directory?
It is hard to find the right patch with diffferent numbers for the same patch...
I opened a ticket and just got a reply.
Will try their proposal and tell if it fixed my problem.

€:
Just tried to install the file from support.
The patch tells me that the patch is allready installed.
When I start the game I have the most actuall version.
don´t know why but 1 minute before the same file was the base-version that turned into the correct version without updating...
Support on GoG is magic :)

there is another patch, see the edited post above.
Also, please fill a ticket for the totally confusing version numbering "strategy" of GOG, too! ;)

Also, vote here for a sane versioning scheme of patches and software.

The 1.0.3 Universal Update did not work for me either. Failed with log message:

Legend of Grimrock patch log
Update from version 1.0.2.15 to 1.0.3.16

Incorrect version of: C:\Users\peter\Apps\Legend of Grimrock\grimrock.exe
Incorrect version of: C:\Users\peter\Apps\Legend of Grimrock\grimrock.dat
Incorrect version of: C:\Users\peter\Apps\Legend of Grimrock\licenses.txt

I ended up uninstalling the game (keeping savegames ofcourse), installing using the 1.0.2 Windows Installer, then applying the 1.0.3 Universal Update. That worked and my game is now officially up to LoG version 1.3.6.

Thanks for linking to these almost human's updates. I had the same problem than op and it worked great without even re-installing.
