I had the game in my wishlist, and now it is not listed in the store catalog anymore. I really wanted to buy the game, will it ever come back, or should I buy the CD?

Im sad to say that. I wish not have to, but i have to. Go to p2p and download GOG version there. There is updated build there which not available even on GOG itself. With modern GOG DX wrapper. I guess its the best way. And only available. CD is not the option. Ebay-amazon second-hand maybe not have it at this time, or you can get bootleg copy or fake copy. We cant consider this as an real option. Too much random and too expensive to buy and delivery to most of ROW (incl Brazil or mine Rossia). If you get not authentic pirate copy its worse than download it and you loose money.

I also not like to advertise p2p copy of GOG Wrapper. But i dont see any else option to adverise. It is modern roll-back'-ed build or old first build of GOG versions.

Now it is Embraser Group which probably soon after buy already sold CrystalD. Or not. Very unclear future of studio. Maybe soon all CrystalD titles will gone. Embraser themself now closing few studios or re-sell few else bought studios.

This is very sad to hear. It was the last game for my collection. I found it 2nd-hand, but it was $80 + $55 shipping. I'll try to ask the support for any news on the product.

Big? What u mean... Oi, u wait for some sort of remake? No one announce it. Update is just update. There is one included in first release (fan-made patch by wrace/ko and realmedia to bink video convert). Now its GOG DX Wrapper (d3d and dinput+xinput) and so videos can be revret back to old format and that happen.

For my side its look big enough. GOG have really good wrapper and now its more clear digiital release. For any bigger it should he separate game or fanmade mods.
GOG wrapper can increase a bit screen quality. hypothetically it can serve as widescreen and HD hack - but you need turn off Keep Aspect ratio and that obviously broke screen ratio and decrease screen quality. There is fanmade solutions for that with modded exe file (uptodate Wrace fix)

to access GOG DX Wrapper settings look to DXCFG.exe and dixi.ini file (manual editing only) for input.

Again its presumably started as legal issues update. There was legal update announce and not remake announce.

It was taken down from the store awhile ago with a statement saying Square Enix was doing a QOL Bs or something to it. Now it's just gone from the store and I was just wondering. I have it setup and Am ready to play but thought I would see if anyone knew if Square did anything. I guess they baled on it. Gaming co. have it tough these days I keep hearing.

Emracer Group bought Square Enix/Eidos EU and Crystal Dynamics. Now Aspyr made Tomb Raider remaster. And now working on Star Wars BF remasters.
So there is a chance Emracer in agenda to get profit from CD bought will agreed with Aspyr once again for LoK remasters/remakes.

As the opposite point, Embracer have financial issues. So it is about what they chose to do. My casual user vision is try to get profit agreed with Aspyr. But that depend on how agreement goes: who get most profit from it. Often it goes nowhere and no new releases. Bought and sold and final - flosing the studio and killing franchise. Thats the most popular way. Did producers have reasons for that? I dont know. It can happen too.

Probably Embracer sold CD already. Did they or not recent Tomb Raider remasters give us a chance for LoK remasters. Whatever IP holder and publisher it would be.

The game was taken down months ago and before that it was listed but with a "Coming Soon" for a few years. I also want to get it because I beat the original (Blood Omen, available only on GOG) and want to play the others, but I don't want to skip straight to Soul Reaver 2. I also just got an email with a discount coupon that reduces the price of all the games (all-time low) and might get them, but the collection will be incomplete without the second game.

Games can be taken away here on GOG too, sometimes. Bundles. And sometimes games sold as actually a bunrle which is unclear from store page (all Bethesda titles)(and so Wolfenstein 3D lost Spear of Destiny expansion from them who already bought it).
At least GOG fix that and restore taken games back. Steam dont care if you lost localisations, DLC (paid ones, pre-order ones, Collectors Editions ones) or whole games taken from you. But that started like in... 2010?

I don´t think Steam takes away games from your account if they are delisted from the store (I have many games on my library that cannot be purchased anymore). Neither does GOG. If you purchase a game, you will have access to it.

Steam allow publisher to do everything from 2010.

I have at least two titles they take from me - GTA4 original and EFLC replacet to Complete (and this is Steam so i lost access to respective game Hub which along with Steam Stats and Steam Trading is only reason to buy games on Steam), and Sin that i get as bonus of some special edition of next Sin game.
Hard to track with so many games. Easier to track games i have on discs. I lost few unique preorder/SE DLCs from listed as owned by Sega decision they are obsolete. Thats all i can say. DLC counter reduced. And "icon-faggoria" is another reaeon Steam exist. As delivery wystem it always was trash, even when Valve superwise DB.

I lost special Config from account - Half-Life Ownership and Uncencored DLC for Half-Life 1 on one of my account. Ajd this happen not even by Valve - eome else publisher take actions accidentally (i suppose) affect Valve subscriptions and Valve inforrectly revert it.

I lost russian language for some titles originally available in russian. Bought as russian Retail. Cause again of Subscription system, publisher update them and forget about russians. I have russian tab but game wont start.
Not remember which titles. But again - Sega too (although bought on Steam or from non-steam key transfer to Steam).


There is more cases when Steam bring back to Wallet a moneys for some indie game banned next to release. Sometimes Valve even take it from buyers.

For GOG this possible only for bundles as i know. But GOG do supervise publishers actions here. Not fast, but at least fixed in result.

There is something you get for ... mmm... GOG Galaxy Community. GOG have Profile backgrounds too. And they depend on what you have bought. Again, in result Bethesda actions tixed by GOG in conclusion.
