1) Screenshots, achievements popup are not working currently in Galaxy.

2) Are the achievements implemented here?
I got 1 achievement:

But it's showing as I got 100% on that other screen, which is definitely not right.

Under my experience the achievements work but they are not shown explicity ingame/overlay apparently, but they are gained. At least I can see them as achieved.

Also the cloud saves for Galaxy do not work, the common yellow button, says the game can not update cloud saves because of high traffic etc etc.

Indeed there are bugs in the Galaxy features implementation
Another bug, at a 1200p screen (1980x1200), some parts of left and right are being cut. It's noticeable especially at menus, like in the map.

I got same,with 1680x1050
I also encountered a bug: the big open area at the beginning of Zephon's area went dark the second time I went in. It was fine the first time, but then I came back in and it was *really* dark.

I had the same issue when entering the Silenced Cathedral. It seems to be a dramatic effect, as eventually (quite some "eventually" later) everything got brighter.

It must be due to the day-night cycle.

Is there a day night cycle or is something not loading right? I've had it happen in a couple of other areas as well as the courtyard area of the silent Cathedral and it kind of hurts my eyes to play the game when it's dark like that.

From what I undersatnd, yes, the original game had (or was supposed to have) a day/night cycle, and it was implemented in the remaster.

Now.....except the inner courtyard of the cathedral, I didn't find the night time so disturbing (and even then, when it switches to day time, it's just....well....regular dark).

On the other hand, I have my PC connected to my TV, on a proper monitor the dark might be "darker" based on the setting of said monitor.

Something that just happened to me but I have been unable to reproduce:

On the way to Melchiah there is a large room with a see-saw kind of puzzle with two platforms connected to the same rope, where one lowers when you stand on it and raises the other (with the intent being you pass by using the raised platform in Spectral Realm). I entered the room and stood on the left platform, but noticed the other platform did not seem to have raised. I jumped and glid over to the other platform, which now lowered, but it did so into the floor beneath it with Raziel on it, glitching me outside the level geometry.

With no other option I decided to save the game, thinking I would just reload and work my way back. However, the game always crashes to desktop when I try to reload this save. I'm guessing what happened is something like it wrote into the save a state for the see-saw platforms which the game considers invalid when trying to load, and crashes.

I do still have that save file stored.

edit: I encountered a similar bug with the three large pistons beneath the lighthouse. Two of the pistons ended up glitching well below to where they are supposed to be pumping up and down. Thankfully this time it did not result in a corrupted save and it was fairly easy to maneuver around the obstruction this caused in the game world.

I got a save game bug, but…

… I also have a solution, go into the original EXE file's properties and enable “run as administrator” and viola, fixed!

The bug doesn't allow your saves and save state to load properly, I'm guessing it's a bug on the dev's end as the save state always reads as 8:11 as the game time, also no matter if you gained access to a gate/world-shift glyph, as your progress has been truncated!

Even backed up saves don't fix this bug… Unless you run the game as an administrator!

I'm guessing I'm the only one with this bug as I searched and could not find others who have it, however on second thought, maybe it's just my idiot system! :^P

The good news is that I don't have to refund this game after all! :^D

You're not alone here, happen the same to me, your solution worked for me thanks!, still, I miss the Cloud Save, hope they fix that sooner than later.

I'm glad it worked for you!

Yeah, this may be the only game that I will use cloud save on…
There's a gamebreaking bug in Soul Reaver 1, near the end of the game, just before the final boss.
The last puzzle just before you fight Kain is a puzzle where you have to [POSSIBLE SPOILERS] arrange some boxes forming a drawing. Two of those boxes are in elevated ledges and you have to make the boxes drop.
You have to be careful with the boxes in the lower floor, and move them aside before you make the upper boxes drop, because if one of the upper boxes falls on top of the lower ones, they will merge and get stuck. And if you leave the area and return, all of the upper boxes will dissapear. If you save your game while in this state, the game will get stuck and you will be unable to advance. So the only solution if this happens is loading the game and redoing everything.

Try shooting the merged boxes with the soul reaver's telekinesis. Also, if you're talking about them just being stacked too high, telekinesis the top box..
