Was dismayed initially by the fact that DoK: Soul Reaver 1 was not loading a hardware-accelerated D3d driver as a choice--the game was only letting me select a software driver. I simply replaced the game's atiumdag.dll file with the latest atiumdag.dll file 9.14.10.1128 (from Cats 15.9.1) and I now can choose a D3d-accelerated driver from the game's options! Game looks *much better*, imo--add 16x Anisotropic filtering and 8xFSAA supersampling & things improve even further. Thought I'd pass it on for anyone else who didn't realize this...;)

Edit: I am also running the SR1 Hook support with the patched Kain.exe.

Edit2: Lol...;) If you have the latest Catalysts installed then just either delete or rename atiumdag.dll! It's not needed in the game's directory--don't know why it's even included with the game...

No problemo...;) Have found that several old GOG titles contain outdated/incompatible old ATi drivers in their root directories--that only need to be removed/renamed in order to have those games properly render on the very lates AMD hardware & drivers, and under Win10x64, too.

Just tested it--still working fine under Insider build 14271 Win10x64. Crimson 16.2, R9 380 4GB. Make sure you are running the SR1 Hook support patch with it. Then just rename the atiumdlg.dll to "atiumdlg.dllOLD" (or simply delete it) and you should be good to go!
Installed both patches and now the game wont run at all. It says

"couldnt find movies. Please insert soul reaver CD-ROM"

Any solution?

You are running the GOG version? I am.

Win10x64, build 14279, R9 380 4GB, Crimson 16.3 drivers. Game runs fine in either 16-bit or 32-bit color @ 1920x1200, the only compatibility options I have set are "Run as admin" and "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings"--everything else is blank.
I am but i am on Nvidia hardware. 980ti

cannot get it to play

Installed the latest d3d9.0c runtime (June 2010 was the final Microsoft release)?
Where is this hook you are referring to? II'm just trying to get this and Soul Reaver 2 working, so I'm a bit behind.
