Kitlantra: Best bet is probably Emuparadise for the ISO, and ePSXe for an emulator to run it.

Nirth: Why would you recommend the PS1 version over PC?
Better graphics, better FMVs, faster gameplay. The only edge PC has is lightning-quick loading times which are just awful on PSX.
Poor loading times will certainly be countered by a modern PC if one use a decent emulator like ePSXe.

I guess I was wrong. It was a long time ago I had to suffer through that slow loading times, I can't say the extra benefits is worth it over the PC playing like that. I just hope they finish Blood Omnicide because it has a much better engine than the original, easier to run on modern computers.

You can actually get Blood Omen 1 now from PS3 PSN for less than two euros. Still hoping it would appear also in GOG.
Hi guys. I saw Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain for sale on other site. Why it is not possible to bring it to GOG too? I would much rather buy it from GOG!! It would be wonderful to have all the LOK games. Thx

I would really like to know on which site did you find a digital version of Blood Omen for sale, because after years of browsing all I can find are physical copies being sold second-handed (or pristine disc copies for which sellers ask an insane amount of money), abandonware sites and nothing more.

I'm pretty positive BO: LoK isn't available as a digital purchase and download anywhere else other than PSN.

Honestly that site looks a bit shady to me, just look at the game page, the screenshots are pretty much random images taken from the web and some of them are from the sequel.
It might just be me, but I would not buy from that site.

Same here. But the point is, if they can sell it, why can't GOG?

That site does look shady, to say the least... they might be able to "sell" it for a while, but without trying to buy it, all we can do is speculate. I doubt what they're selling is actually Blood Omen, and I'm not willing to pay for it just to find out, it looks more like an easy scheme to grab some cash.

GOG can't sell the game because they're a legal outfit and they have to go through all the copyright loops and the whole deal with publisher/rights owner to sell a game, they don't just sell any game because they feel like it -- and, trust me, I think GOG would love to be able to sell Blood Omen, lots of people would buy it ASAP, if they aren't selling it it's because they simply can't. I highly doubt that site you linked will last long as soon as some copyright police notices them, and since I don't want GOG to close their digital doors, I'd rather prefer they won't sell a game they're not allowed to sell anyway.
Please GOG release Blood Omen 1 so I can play through the whole series from start to finish.
I have the game currently working on Windows 8

for those that have a copy use Cuban Raul's BO Installer.
Please help, I am stuck in the Oracle Caves. I have reached the first save point, but cannot trigger the blue gem to open the wooden doors in the next cave. I have triggered them successfully once before, but now the gem stays lit and does not turn off. I don't know if I have encountered a bug or what...but I doubt it. I have spent all day reading and following numerous faqs to no avail and have backtracked to all areas of the caves to see if I have missed anything.
