This is an interesting problem. (Return To Krondor)
My internet went down a few days ago and the game would try to start ( I could see the spinning little circle thingy showing me it was trying to start..but then it disappeared).
When my internet came back online the game started , although I also had to do a fresh reboot of the computer with the internet on)
I tested this also by unplugging my internet. When I did that the game would not start.
I would plug the internet back in. Still would not start.
I would then reboot and have the internet plugged in and the game would work.
I thought maybe it was something to do with DIVX media player phoning home...but I also made vlc player as my default and the same thing happens.
I know it is a single player game so I suspect something else is the culprit.....anyone have any ideas on what causes this?
I also turned Norton off as a test but no dice.
Thanks!
Still has me stumped...played with Norton Firewall. Still no luck. I am not sure why a game wo a internet required function would be doing this.
