I know the system requirements say XP/Vista, but i have Win7 Home premium 64 bit, really want to check the game out, but its a no go so far, any ideas?

I'm running on WIn7 Ult 64bit and it appears to run fine until I try to end Chap 0 - posting in a separate post.
Not sure if it's related to WIn7 though - I doubt it because the game is still running, it just seems to be stuck in the script somehow (like I can Pause and Unpause for example.)

It appears this may be a Win7 issue. I took my saves to my laptop with XP and I was able to see the "cutscene" that was not being presented on my Win7 box. So, I'd say that to be safe you should stick with XP/Vista. Yes, I did try to put it into XP SP3 Compatibility mode as well.
