Installed and launched fine, plays fine, but as soon as I hit "Save" to save my game, the little hour glass just comes up and keeps spinning forever......

Can't possibly expect we're supposed to play the whole game without saving, are they?

Windows Vista 32 bit HP Pavilion laptop, fully updated (always connected to internet and always keep up with updates).

- Did you install the game into default location? (C;\Program Files)
- Do you have the UAC (User Account Control) enabled?
- Do you run the game shortcut as an administrator?

If either or both 1&2 are true for you, it may be possible that Vista is preventing the game from creating or changing any files, including saves. Running the game as an admin should help.

Oh, ok, I'm so sorry. I bet those things are already posted here and I should've read them before posting a new thread. Yes, running as administrator solved the problem. THANK YOU!! And sorry if this was well known. The thing is I DID read the support link the game took me to and didn't see anything about that.

Anyway, yep, sure as rain after starting as administrator it lets me save games now.

I'm such a computer moron.

No worries... it's an annoying trait of Windows Vista and Windows 7 that most people are not aware of. I'm surprised it's not discussed on GOG's support pages, as it crops up for most older games.
