I started playing this game many years ago when it was new but never got past ch. 1. Now, many years later, I'm giving it a proper attempt thanks to GoG, but I've picked up a lot of bad habits playing RPGs where you can recover from anything by just resting a few times. Now I'm stuck in BaK because a few of my characters got struck down in combat and now they're stuck on 1 health and 0 stamina. Resting multiple times hasn't changed this and after finally finding a temple, the price to heal even one of them is more than my party has gathered over several months of traipsing around. The herbal pack doesn't seem to have any effect, even though it shows a percentage, indicating I've "used" it. I assumed those little green vials were for combat only, but am I supposed to use them after combat to properly heal guys? How does one recover from near death in this game prior to being rich?

No problem :) This game can be pretty unforgiving.

Inns are your friend, you'll recover faster in an inn than you do just resting out in the wild and the restorative potions can become more difficult to come by in later portions of the game so covet those a little when you can.

How do we recover stamina in Betrayal at Krondor. Presently at zero? . All of a sudden my skills are going down and my condition states normal? Potions do not seem to work? Completely confused.
