jffiset: Thanks Luned for the answer :)
We know how important it is to many people, so keyboard reconfiguration will indeed come in a future patch.
First off, thank you very much for re-enabling the ability for us to re-bind the keys, I do not type well (But play a mean guitar!) as I only use two-three fingers to type, and FPGames are best done with keyboards which is why the lack of re-binds are a deal-breaker for me...
It is frustrating because 90% of indie development has the most unique and gorgeous worlds along with the amazing game-play but have
anti-intuitive controls, too many indie Developers consistently
assume that everyone is as comfortable with the way the devs use the keyboard, and completely ignore the fact that there are left-handed players along with those that don't type very well and those who don't spend hours typing code!
Example: WASD to move and Shift to sprint, and Space to jump has been used by many devs,
(But they also allow for key-re-binds) but it is absolutely bad on your fingers...WASD+Q to run/sprint E to jump is much more comfortable for extended periods of play, because unlike typing you do not hold down shift/Ctl/Alt for extended periods, instead you tap them!
Or if you cannot toggle crouch/sprint, use Q to Crouch/F to sprint, that way your fingers are already in a natural position, rather than having to HOLD down the shift/Alt/CTL while using WASD which is too much of a bad extension for your ring/little finger while moving the WASD!
Thanks again, and I can't wait to see what you'll come up with next time, I hope your company far surpasses UbiSoft!
