droole88: Same problem the scrren keeps blinking and shaking, flickering consistently and it completely ruines the experience and makes the game unplayable and this is very disappointing because I bought this package strictly for Kings Quest 8
arablizzard2413: Laptop? Graphics chip? (Intel, ATI, Nvidia, etc.)
Something else to try would be to use DDraw.dll from Dege's dgvoodoo 2 package and set the game to use Direct Draw instead of Glide under options.

arablizzard2413: Hahaha that's hilarious.
All I can say, don't use the Nglide supplied with the game. I have heard the newer version works better, and is as good or comparable to dgVoodoo2 and Zeckensack's for this game. Zeckensack's is probably slightly easier to set up, 'running' in the background. But you'd have to rename o rremove the files assocated with Nglide form your game folders.
As you said you don't know how to do that, I don't know how to make it much clearer (than the last person) to explain how, sorry. Or at least right now I don't have the time to write out a longer explanation. But there are probably other posts in this forum that would explain how in greater detail.
To be honest I don't always remember what I did the last time to install and get the game working. Especially when there are new extra steps like removal of some files, to install other files, and getting those other files to function correctly. It was easier when Nglide wasn't packed with the software, and I had more choice which glide package to use right out of the install. But the option to 'choose' from an install to not install nglide doesn't exist, so it takes extra steps to disable it (if I want to try other glide wrappers).
I'm not sure if you have told us which version of Windows you are using?
