I was browsing the King's Quest wiki and found a page on the Guidebook to the Land of the Green Isles. It seems like someone went to the effort of typing up the whole King's Quest VI manual on there.
What's weird is that that wiki page contains a lot more content as there is in the GOG.com manual for KQ6. The sections are:
Foreward*
PART I The Land of the Green Isles
PART II The Isle of the Crown
PART III The Isle of Wonder
PART IV The Isle of the Sacred Mountain
PART V The Ancient Ones
PART VI The Isle of the Beast*
PART VII Legends and Myths of the Land of the Green Isles*
PART VIII Postscript
I have put an asterisk next to three sections which are completely missing from the GOG.com manual. It also removes all mention of the fictional author Derek Karlavaegen. That is a pity, since I like the games to be complete. My guess is that GOG didn't remove them, but that this is a scan from one of the later collection editions (judging by the cover page, it's the 1997 King's Quest Collection package).
It would be good if GOG could release a complete scan of this manual. In the meantime, people may be interested in reading those sections from the wiki linked above.
Heh, when I read it earlier, I did think there was something missing: on the last page, it says "the modern Green Islanders also have elaborate death traditions, as I will describe later." And then there is one more paragraph and the conclusion... turns out the death traditions are described in the missing chapters.
