When i start the game it asks me to:

"In order to verify your legal owneship, please use your "Kings Quest IV" manual to answer the following question:"

Where the hell do i get these from?
I downloaded the digital handbook but the mentioned sections are not in the PDF....

HELP Please!

Thanks

There's likely a table with all the answers in the PDF. I don't believe it's the original King's Quest IV manual.

Alternatively, Sierra Copy Protection Compendium. It's the first image.

It's sections from the manual from King's Quest Collection Series, IIRC. The sword and crown on a pile of bones.

It's only a table on page 24.

In Kings Quest 4-5-6 directory, there's a file called kq_ref_card.pdf - all the copy protection answers are in there.

Thank you. For those who want to know where this is located, for me it's at:

C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Kings Quest 4\kq_ref_Card.pdf

The table they include is from The Roberta Williams Anthology actually. It's been incomplete for decades.

For educational purposes, the 1997 King's Quest Collection (and The Roberta Williams Anthology the collection is based off of) had an issue with an incomplete KQ4 reference table. The issue with script 701 can be remedied by extracting the file and replacing these hex values.
43 4C 08 -> 32 1E 00
0E 00 38 -> 00 00 38

Follow these (unsupported) directions at your own risk.
It's not a feature, it's a bug.
