So you gave the game a horrible rating based on it not being old as opposed to the game's merit? That is the height of stupidity.
Yes, GOG's main purpose is to sell older games, but are you really going to complain when IN ADDITION to their vast collection of decade-old classics, they come out with a newer game? For people who want the game, it's a chance to get it for only 10 dollars, along with some bonus features and infinite downloads. People who aren't interested can ignore the game, instead of trying to trash its rating simply because it isn't old enough. Find something legitimate to whine about or quit whining. Here's a buck, go buy yourself something shiny.

I agree. Rate the game on its own merits, not its age. If you think it doesn't belong here, that's worth a forum discussion, but not a bad rating.

I made a promise to myself that the next time I saw this sort of complaint, I'd copy and paste what GOG says about old games, but now I can't remember where I saw it. Instead, I'll have to make do with this quote from another user:

Can anyone provide a direct link to that where GOG states it, so that others can see it's directly from the horse's mouth? I could be wrong but I remember that being the official word. Hopefully it'll put a stop to the complaints and I honestly cannot believe complaining about a 'good' game being released even if it's subjective as to whether it's new or old.

Edit: By the way, do you realise that GOG would probably go out of business if they exclusively focused on selling games that are old and take a lot of work to get working on new systems?

Apart from that, this game tends to be very hard to come by. And now I can get it for a mere 10$ without any DRM. Hopefully the AddOn comes along soon. Thanks gog :)

GOG could release Pong. That would give them enough good will from those people to release hundreds of new games.

Nothing old about Pong, surely gog shouldn't be releasing these new fangled games. Gog should focus on "Space War" and older!!!

I agree I would have liked to have seen the original versus this one but that is no reason to give it a bad rating. It's a good game and doesn't deserve bad press just because it's new. I'm sure there are other ways you can voice your opinion.
