As the title says it, i've never been able to complete the game because, when i start the game i've got my settled character (normal till there).

But, i've never seen any new characters pop up, over the years. On the long party they all finish to die bye age or not and i am stuck before i can end it. Is this a bug ? do i choose something wrongly on the settings?

It is very likely that your original ring members will need to be replaced (in fact, the last game I played, I picked a king who ended up dying of old age before he could unite the tribes).

But there should always be new nobles available in the Reorganize screen. Are you saying that empties out and does not replenish? (There is no guarantee of the specific people who rise to prominence, but someone always should.)

Yup, I've got the impression you don't know about the reorganization screen. The screen where you can choose your circle among 20-30 noblemen and women. Am I wrong?

If you really completely "run out" of nobles during the game, even in the reorganization screen, then there is a problem with your game. You don't always get the nobles you need, especially if your clan has been slaughtered by a powerful enemy (that's the reason my first long game win was with an Issaries merchant queen), but they should at least replace the ones who died from old age.

I know about the reoganization screen. I mean when one character dies i use it to replace it.
But, i've never seen any new nobles pop-up even when they died of old age. When i start a game i've got my maybe 20-30 nobles and over generations.

If those die, they aren't replaced. I read here and there that with time you've supposed to have new nobles to rise.
But, i just have to do with the ones i get at start and try to finish the game with them eventually in the long story i always run out.

Yes, you should see young, inexperienced nobles appear with time. Never heard of your problem before. Generally, the trouble people have with this game is more of the "It doesn't work at all on my computer" type. Strange.
And a problem slow enough to develop, so doing tests is difficult (apart from sending all your nobles to snakepipe hollow, which should exterminate your whole nobility in 3-4 years, and see if the reorg screen replenishes itself?)
Did you already try to download the game again for a clean reinstall?

Strange. New named nobles don’t magically appear, they are children that grow up. So if for some reason you had no children for a year or two, there might be a hole in the demography. But I can’t imagine having zero kids for 15 years, and thus never having any grow up.

This is the first report we’ve gotten of this. No setting should affect the game’s economic model.

I tried, to install-reinstall. I always get the same problem. I do have messages like 20 childrens are born etc. So it isn't a demography problem. I can wait 20 years, i just have deaths..and people getting old.

Those childrens just never appears. Even the event where a child is taken back to you doesn't appear at all in my party whatsoever. That's why i was asking all those questions..as i thought my game really as a problem..

Could this be due to always recruiting the maximum amount of weaponthanes? If everyone becomes a weaponthane I think there might not be any nobles left to fill the ring.

No, your nobles don’t have anything to do with weaponthanes. Even if they are the warleader.

The wiki says this the weaponthanes are part of the nobility

http://kingofdragonpass.wikia.com/wiki/Clan This led me to believe that if you spend all your horses every season to make new weaponthanes there won't be any horses to make new nobles. Or if you have enough horses you drain all the normal thanes.

I would say that wiki is making an anthropological statement. Yes, weaponthanes are thanes, though often considered separate because their position is by merit and not birth.

But in game terms, they are tracked differently. Children of thanes (but not weaponthanes) become thanes whether or not there are horses around.

I have no way to look at games saved from the desktop version.

I don’t recall any player actions that would affect the rate of replacement for named characters. For that matter, anything at all. I know there is a random factor involved, perhaps you are simply unlucky.

You actually posted a saga, which is readable. But you are only 11 years into the game. Surely there isn’t a problem in 1341?

That is the best party i even been able to made..i upload/download the game a lot of time to get good character and young (because of my issue). But, a lot of my character are over 60 and some are even over 70. When, they die, they just don't get replaced in my party (ever).

Is there maybe a settled date for noble to begun appearing like maybe 1360 etc?

Looking at the current code (which I don’t think was changed for 2.0), the pool of named leaders should never get below a certain point (at least for more than a few seasons). Which is not the same as replacing people as soon as they die.

I can think of no way that you would ever run out of leaders. And I don’t think anyone else has reported it.
