I noticed that the downloader version on my GOG account has been updated to v. 1.04, but there's no patch available to update my existing installation. Does anyone know what the ETA is for an update?

You can download and install 1.04 over the top of your 1.02 install. At least that has worked fine for me. I know this doesn't help if you're bandwidth limited, nor is it an elegant or efficient way of doing things.
