It seems that Act III is in the horizon.

Yes!
After a long hiatus, I finally got to play Act III. It was very beautiful. I could play the part at the bar again and again. I wish more people could be aware of this game.
I thought the part with the Xanadu was a bit too long, but otherwise a great chapter!

I think I stayed with the Xanadu more than the necessary.

Can you actually win the Xanadu "RPG"? There are three percentage that increase or decrease with each turn, but I wasn't able to raise them all to 100% at the same time. So I just quit the game and could still advance the plot. Are there some bonus scenes if you do win, or is it a red herring just to mess with the players?

I got them to 100% and seemed that nothing changed. I believe the idea is to get the player bored so he tries to exit.
If I recall correctly, there is at least one winning pattern, and if you keep using it for long enough, eventually the game stops you trying to continue indefinitely.

I suspect the whole Xanadu bit is substantially meant to evoke other things: some of the dialogue seemed to echo 'Kubla Khan'.
