Is there going to be any sort of mouse support or key rebinding added in the future? because this game could DEFINATELY use mouse support and rebindable keys.

I'm not sure in which state the current GOG version is (v1.0.13) but the St**m one got features like achievements and keyboard remappings added on 2019-10-21 (also v1.0.13).

Since anybody is interested. The actual GOG reelase now also has achivements and supports key rebinding.

Good to know! Also the game card got updated and now shows that there are achievements.

Regarding the question about mouse support the developer said some time ago there aren't plans to add this feature:
