I just discovered that Jagged Alliance Gold Edition is playable on MacOS. But unfortunately on Steam.

I already bought the whole series just in case it will be playable on MacOS in some time. Now i found it on Steam. Any information, why it is not working on MacOS here on GOG and if its going to be playable on MacOS any time ?

JA1 is a DOS game so it should be easy enough to get it running on just about any system. I don't know why gog hasn't made mac and linux packages yet

the last question is my main object. and of course its not only about ja1. i really like the galaxy and would like to use it with any game. no work arounds, no x11 problems just click play... and play

I'm not sure about JA specifically, but normally in these cases it's a legal issue. Different people own the rights to distribute the game on different platforms. Sometimes GOG is able to secure all rights, sometimes only the Windows rights but not the Mac rights.
