Seems to - I bought it on GOG and installed it an hour ago and it works just fine. I played for 30 minutes or so (set up my merc, landed my team in the first game map, shot some dudes in the head) without problem. I didn't change anything before launching the game.

If vanilla is what you want, vanilla is what you'll get from the GOG version.

Oh, and I'm on Win10 Pro 64-bit, in case that helps.

Works out of the box. If mouse is laggy consider searching for dll wrapper. No other problems arised while played for 70 in-game days.

I played it recently on Windows 11.

In the Windows compatibility settings I had to set the settings to "Windows XP SP3" and to activate the option "deacitvate full screen optimizations", the screen would remain black when I didn't do so.

Also - if your game is installed into a directory where admin rights are needed - make sure to activate "run as admin".
If you have it in a special games directory, where no elevated rights are needed, you can skip this.

These are not points that are exclusive to the GOG version, they are just to perform because the game is so friggin old and was programmed by old standards. If at all, then it's remarkable that games like these run on modern platforms at all.
