RadonGOG: Well, if you don´t set ANY FPS-Lock (In-Driver-Frameratelimit, V-Sync) Game could be running crazyly fast so no inputs will be recogniced anymore:
But this isn´t happening on every system, of course!
BoAllens Site is a fantastic one for FPS-Comparision, but it doesn´t have anything to do with my post...
;)
By the way, enabeling TriBuff in your driver fixes framedrops!
Oh, and another thing: Jade Empire is PLAYABLE, but not enjoyable at 30 FPS! (in opposite to games like FreeLancer, which starts beeing playable at 55 FPS... )
Just course animations are such b eatiful fluently on 60 Frames *love*.
Bleed: Input has nothing to do with fps, what are you talking about.
And by the way, input-wise, higher is always better because it means it checks for it more times per-second.
Unless i misunderstood what you meant...
Well, it seems that there has been a driver fix since I last recognized this issue, so I´m not able to get the problem up to the screen again:
Generally: Jade Empire was a Console-Game developed for a Console which was capable of performing ~40FPS in Jade Empire.
That was why they´ve decided to put in a 30FPS-Limit. In addition to that there had been a logical frameRate on the same level.
For PC, this logical-framerate had been improved to ~120.
If you get more frames than this, some inputs might fall out, course they´ve been putted in BETWEEN two logical frames.
But, however, this problem isn´t up-to-date anymore; so you can just forget all about it!
BTW, I´ve even never heard of the problem Nirth told you...
