Hi !

The game works just fine but I can't save my progression. When I click on the "save" button in the menu, the saving bar doesn't seem to go all the way before I'm brought back to the game. When I try to load the game I just saved, there is no file to load.

How Can I fix this problem ?

Thank you ! Actually it turns out that I just need to run it as Administrator to be able to save again, but I have an other issue now, also quite problematic.

When I reach the level up screen (actually when I click on my character to access the distribution of my ability points), the game starts flashing back and forth etween the game screen and my desktop for a few seconds before crashing. If I don't try to level up normally, the game works just fine, but obviously, I won't be able to beat the game if I can't level up.

By the way, I can't go back to my desktop by clicking on the Windows key of my keybord either when the game is running.

I saw that a guy had the same issue with the game on an EA forum, and I tried to do what he was told to (install directX 9), but it didn't fix the problem.

Anyway, I run the game with a Windows 10 (64 bits) OS.
I start it with "D:\GOG Games\Jade Empire\JadeEmpire.exe"

I'd try setting the game to run in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP3.

I asked you about game's path because I've read somewhere that issues may arise if the game is not installed in C drive. I'm not sure about this information, though.

Well, I tried to install it in C but it didn't change a thing. And now that you mention it, I can't even run it on compatibility mode (any compatibility mode really). If I try, I get en error message that says something like "Jade Empire couldn't run properly (0xc0000005)".

Your crash on level up, are you gtting thatt when you launch through galaxy? because that happens to me and I cannot launch the game through its launcher or .exe outside of Galaxy. If anybody has had this issue and been able to fix it, it would be super helpful.
