And you (the devs and publisher) still haven’t realized it yet.

Your reviews are plunging into the red nearly every minute.

Nearly every topic that’s showing up on this forum is either a demand for a refund, a criticism of the way this whole situation was handled, or just a simple declaration of not purchasing a copy.

Twitter, Tumblr, Reddit are filled with angry comments from customers and potential customers.

Even Metacritic is being review bombed at this point.

The game itself has been uploaded to Pirate Bay with links to it showing up practically everywhere.

And I’m willing to bet that before long, you guys will be getting a notification from either, Sony, Nintendo or Microsoft stating that because your game has garnered such a widespread negative reception, porting it to their consoles may not be in the best interest of their companies.

I kind of disagree about the console part. Nintendo supports the "rainbow", Sony and Microsoft are woke.

I agree. It's like 3DRealms was our last, best hope for a developer with a pair of balls and enough spine to make something controversial for their actual fans. But no, instead they flexed the knee and trotted out a limpwristed, soy-infused apology.

Want to see the opposite? Doom Eternal's trailer that was taking the piss ouf of SJWs, and was hugely applauded.

A lot of observers will say that this won't hurt the sales, or that the game is great, etc. but the fact is that whoever decided to listen to activists instead of the audience of the product shifted almost all communication and coverage of Ion Fury from the fun and well-made retro shooter that it is to the fabricated controversy and culture war. This has killed all momentum that the game had, all goodwill that the studio had, and they will be remembered as one of these publishers/devs that bent the knee and betrayed their fans.

I asked for a refund, but I'm not holding my breath. In any case, I certainly don't feel like playing it now and be reminded that the dev team is having reeducation seminars as we speak.

I never even heard of one angry gamer before. And someone else on the steam forums mentioned some dude named the quartering. I checked out the quartering and all hes doing is commentating on existing dramas. he isn't staring any from what I saw. Just revealing it. Literally everyone does that these days. I mean heck you could make the same complaint against Boogie2988. I like the guy but he talks about what stupid things game companies do to players. And they are doing it. It's kind of one of the reasons I buy my games here if I can. No DRM, not scams, no nonsense. At least yet for me. Can't really blame gog for what resetera or 3DR did.
