It's better to not give a date than giving one and missing it. Again, I experienced this with Blasphemous' DLCs. They missed the regular release date and I was surprised. They gave a first date and it was even more delayed because they were reported bugs from the other platforms, and devs wanted to fix them before releasing it again. Gog also seems to control and validate every submitted update and it takes time, so devs may choose more carefully what they upload on Gog. It took one month to get that DLC after steam's release.

I understand how frustrating it is to not be able to play your games day one here. Personnaly this is not an issue yet I won't purchase anymore games here (except DLCs for games I already purchased here) because of the cut content for games having online features and the impossibility to play them on Geforce now.

To ease your patience, just check your backlog and finish other games. Check also Moddb or nexus and look for amazing wads or total conversions for Gzdoom or other free amazing games. Here some:

Blade of Agony
Ashes 2063
Bloom (Doom/Blood crossover)
Total Chaos
I'm tired of waiting and decided that I'll skip this Expansion. Might get it in a year or two when it's on sale but not now. There's other stuff being released this month that is more worth my money.

They don't need to provide a date. Just letting folks know that they want to wait until the initial bugfixes are handled or whatever. Just like any communication about it.
It's not just that it's frustrating to wait, it's that it's insulting to not be kept in the loop, especially on october 2nd, waiting around in here wondering what was wrong, why it wasn't releasing. That felt like shit. I should use the e-mail notification to be warned when it's out but this has all miffed me bad enough that I have no intention to buy it anymore.
It's another upcoming wekeend with free time and...........................

...Nothing.

If they missed a date and SAID they missed it I wouldn't throw a stink. Clear issue here is, uh... being clear. Multiple people still asking about this on GOG and no update. This lack of communication is absolutely tactless from a business standpoint. Why even release on GOG t hen? Just keep it to Steam if you're going to be shitheads about it.
I pleaded for a response/ETA on the Discord. Got this response back:
I hope to send a non-DRM build to 3DR to use for GOG today, pending confirmation that some game-breaking issues are fixed

Since I don't use discord I really appreciate infos like this, thanks. It's a shame that they seemingly put off a lot of people already just because of poor communication. So unnecessary. Definitely won't jump ship though since Ion Fury pretty much was my favorite FPS of the last decade.
Another update on the status of Aftershock.

Monday was three days ago. Could GOG please get the release done before the weekend?
Does the Steam version even have any DRM in it? Because there are many games released on Steam that are simply distributed there, but don't actually have DRM. If Aftershock doesn't have DRM there, then what could possibly be the problem with releasing it here? What are they waiting for?
I'm done checking...

So, another dud, then.
This is now the third weekend since the official "release" date and still nothing!!!

@GOG, Voidpoint and/or 3D Realms. Could you at least try to care and communicate with your customers here?!
