I'd happily pay full price ($60) for a new, DRM-free build-engine FPS from 3DRealms in 2019. I'm just wondering exactly the non-Founder edition big box comes with? They have listed on their website:

The only thing missing here holding me back is that I don't see an actual manual included but I would imagine they would have to have one if they're bothering to do a big box release. I don't see any unboxing videos yet but then they probably only just started shipping.

Haven't heard anything about a manual being included. Sadly, they are a thing of the past now.

That's a good point. In the olden days they would just upload the patches to their website for free... but they were obviously separate updaters from the actual game itself.

No news from the developer... I still don't know if the big box release get access to update and how.

I'm tempted to get it for sure, although the lack of CD audio is kind of a bummer (they BETTER be lossless FLAC ). I bought the basic SIGIL box set and that came with CD audio...

The making of book is a nice trade-off for a manual though, if it doesn't have one.

I finally got an answer from 3drealms support. You will get update of the big box release on the website.
Also after I made the payment for the game I also got a steam key of the game.
Finally they also told me that they will ship the game on 15 September.

PS. The main reason why I think this is a great big box release is the custom usb key. I don't really like disk that's why I usually always buy digital games... but I actually like the idea of a big box game every once in a while... but I hate disk and drm so I usually give up.

Nice, this is what I was looking for. So any day or week now. It is 500 copies they have to ship, so it might take them a while.
If they're smart, the thumbdrive is the last thing they'll add in the box. That way they can have it up to date before shipping.

The original Founder's Edition (limited to 500 copies) shipped on the 15th. The rest of us will have to wait a few weeks more to get our Big Box editions but since they provide you with a key via email (Steam unfortunately instead of GOG but hey, it's complimentary) I'm not complaining.

I'm trying to get a refund... this is really too much time. If they want to take preorder they can without charge the price, if you charge the price you cannot sell what you do not have in stock for 2 months.
Also they said I would be able to get my refund after 20 october just by opening a new ticket or answer to the old one but nothing... I did not even get an answer in one week.
This is so sad... a small budget title that try to steal 47$ (67$ - 20$ of the digital copy) from a patient customers that waited 2 months for the shipping of the big box release not even answer the ticket.
Not sure if I will get my money back or the big box release in a few months, but I'm sure I will not be able to trust them in the future.


PS. I also was ready to buy it again after it was in stock and I got my refund... of course I will not do that now.

They finished packaging earlier this week and they should be arriving in distribution centers any time now. Why they mostly post about this stuff only in their Discord and not elsewhere is puzzling to say the least, though.

If they at least answer to my ticket I would just said ok I will wait a few more days... They don't even answer to any of my ticket. I was almost about to open a dispute with my bank for that payment.
Ps. I will still open a dispute with my bank if they are not shipping by the end of the week. I cannot wait more than 120 days to be able to do that and they are still not answering to my ticket.

I tried to write in the support channel. this is the first time I use discord. I'm not happy with their support (they should answer ticket first, not social media).

Got my regular big box today, so anyone in continental Europe who is still waiting for theirs - it might turn up soon.
