Well, now it works

Here's what I did :

Desactive the Overlay in Steam
And follow theses instructions :

Go to graphic card settings and switching everything to use application settings
Turn HDR off in your computer settings.
DON’T try playing in a window fullscreen
Try rebooting Steam
Restart your computer
Check your graphics card drivers, in case you’ve not updated them recently
Verify the game cache using Steam (right click->properties->local files->verify game cache)

Been having the same issue on my laptop, I click to launch the game and a white window opens and then crashes immediately.

I am having the same issue - game works fine on my desktop but crashes on my laptop both run win10.
Tried using campatibillity mode and "run as an administrator" on the .exe in the explorer - both worked.

Now I am searching for the start-parameters to add in galaxy.
Any ideas?

I had a similar problem.
I also don't have any problem with my "big computer"
But in the old one I had to disable "In game overlay" in GOG or start game directly without GOG.
Same for FTL

Yeah, the GOG overlay crashes my Win7 laptop with this game, but my Win10 PC doesn't care at all.

Same here, the game crashes at startup, only a white window and straight to "stopped working". Windows 7 Home Premium, Asus ROG laptop. Darn!
