F4LL0UT: Does the Glide mode make any sense anyway? Do the graphics get any prettier in case of Interstate 76?
Yes. Interstate '76 was released right around when the first 3D graphics cards were coming out, and back then games had to be optimized for specific cards. So the Glide version has much prettier textures and stuff compared to the Direct3D version.

Thanks, good to know. So far all games I've tried playing with the help of a Glide wrapper turned out to look worse than with regular D3D or OpenGL rendering.

I suppose it's possible that modern graphics cards can make these older games look just as good through D3D or OpenGL... I'm just going on my memory of running the game at the time. Even just the ground and the roads looked a lot more crisp when using the 3DFX version back then. I assume the same is true now but I actually haven't tried it recently. Can anyone confirm?
Still doesn't work for me :(
It works for me, it also looks much better than in Direct3d Mode.
The Textures are bilinear filtered, for example.

But the only drawback is, that i can't use a resolution higher than 640*480 in glide mode.
Is there any way to circumvent this?

I also want be able to use the 1024*768 resolution like it is possible with the d3d mode of the GOG version.

You should be able to set the resolution with the nGlide configurator.

Just tried that, that doesn't work. It's still 640*480.
Just tried with nglide and get failed to initilize hardware. Windows 7 32bit, Radeon R7 260X. What's funny, I get this error with every glide wrapper with exeption of the one provided wth game (while nglide worked perfectly with Carmageddon).
