"nGlide is a freeware Glide wrapper for Windows and DOS games. It allows you to play 3Dfx games on modern GeForce/Radeon graphics cards. Some of them are Diablo 2, Need for Speed 2-5, Carmageddon 2, Tomb Raider, Turok. Both versions of APIs are supported, Glide2 (glide2x.dll) and Glide3 (glide3x.dll). Glide wrapper also supports high resolution modes."

Anyone daring to try it?
I just tried it and it's working pretty well! Rainbow colors at the menu, but in-game at the tutorial works great.
How do i get this to work because the wrapper installed with GOG dosent work or d3d mode dosent work always crashes say Failed to initialize 3D Hardware acceleration,

Hoping this might cure it.

I had to re-install the game and not use the custom launcher.
This is a little funky - The installer drops all its files, including it's executable(!) into the system32 folder(!!).

Will that override the glide dlls that are directly in the I`76 folder? I'm thinking the Windows pathing behavior will load the included glide wrapper that GoG packed in before this new nGlide thing.

Also, wasn't this zeus-software site the one several people were saying was distributing trojans a while back?
i will be running a full scan soon but a scan of windows folder didn't pick anything up.

however none of that is working still fails to launch glide or direct 3D anyone anymore ideas ?
Mine didn't install into the system32 folder. I just checked the target path of the launcher, and it is in the Interstate '76 Arsenal\scripts folder. It is a .bat file that points to another .bat file called Start.bat. Start.bat then points to I76_Launcher.exe in the I'76 folder.

All the dll's installed the I76 and Nitro folders.

Nothing from the installer went anywhere near my system32 folder.

Interesting. The path to my launcher for the nGlide configuration application (not I'76) goes into the system32 folder. Not quite sure what to make of that. I will say that, according to Virustotal and NOD32, the file I downloaded was clean, though.

Best post ever. Can run the game perfectly now. +
Runs pretty well in my rig too. :D
Just adding: I could play through the entire story mode with this driver. :)

I'm running win vista 32, in case you're wondering.
Does the Nglide Work for the I76 arsenal? I noticed this says for I76 Gold.
Please advise
Thank you all for the great Ides

Why yes, of course! GOG's version is Arsenal. Just be sure to use the proper shortcut (gog's version's glide shortcuts are on the star menu folder for the game).

The only thing I think is still broken is the mortar. It won't go much farther then a few meters.
Bump
Does the Glide mode make any sense anyway? Do the graphics get any prettier in case of Interstate 76?
