Hey all! I did a little reading around the Net and was able to get Interstate 76 (Glide version) to run at high resolutions and even in widescreen mode! See the GoodOldGames version seems to have left out a few files for the Glide version. The Glide version from GOG only runs at 640x480 (come on!) But if you download the full Glide wrapper (gdVoodoo) you get the setup utility that comes with it which allows you to pick much higher resolutions (even widescreen)! Here's how you do it.
1. Go here and download dgVoodoo v1.50 Beta 2. http://www.bunnzy.org/applications/dgvoodoo150beta2
2. Unzip and copy all the files to your Interstate 76 (and Interstate 76 Nitro Pack) folder. If it asks you can just skip because Interstate 76 from GOG comes with some of the v1.50 Beta 2 files, but not all of them (okay GOG... Why did you guys strip out the setup util?! Arrgh!) Make sure you copy over "dgVoodooSetup.exe".
3. Run "dgVoodooSetup.exe" and select "Direct3D9" in the Render API drop-down list box. If you leave the default at Direct3D7 when you start driving the screen will go black, however the menus will still work.
4. Click on the "Glide" tab.
5. Select the resolution you want to play at in the Resolution drop-down list box.
6. Click OK.
7. Launch Interstate 76 Glide version.
Note that it does NOT seem to play the intro movie (starts with the crickets chirping and the text about "It is 1976... a different 1976.") However, everything else I tried worked fine and at high res and widescreen! I was running at 1440x900 on my laptop and it looked pretty amazing.
Hope everyone has fun with it! I know I will...
