I've been thinking of getting Interstate '76, but seeing all the people having trouble running the game properly haven't exactly encouraged me to purchase. So I'm asking you this: Has GOG fixed all the problems already, or do you still have to download hip63's launcher?
It would be nice if someone clarified this for me.

Short answer, no.

But the only issue that can't be fixed easily is the mortar/flamethrower issue, unless you don't mind choppy gameplay that programs like CPUGrabber create.
Update since there hasn't been much activity on this support page in a long while and for those of you who are still on the fence about this title

I am running I'76 GOG 2.0.0.17 under Win 7 Home Premium x64 on a Core 2 Duo with ATI Mobility Radeon HD3650. So far, the main game runs well using the default GOG launcher from the icon on the desktop. I have set all of the graphics settings to High. I found I had to leave the screen resolution at 640x480 max. I got the wobbly tires thing when I ran 1024x768 and I did not bother with anything lower than 640.

I have also run the game successfully by dragging a shortcut directly to I76.exe to the desktop, adding -glide to the command line and running in compatibility mode for Win95, again bumping all graphics options to max. I was unable to change the screen resolution.

I am only out to Scene 6 in the game, but so far, it seems to be working.

FYI: my game was set to Wimp difficulty. I am not sure if that is default or left over from my previous attempts to run the game.

Also running a PS3 Dualshock controller via USB using MotioninJoy Gampad tool drivers on PS3 mode pretty much all default. I did find I had to open up the PS3 Options and back out of them before my thumbsticks would map properly onto the axes.
Does anybody else have sound issues, where the pistol just makes a short "flap" instead of playing the whole shot sound. The normal car weapons also sound very weak.
I tried the Glide thing, I got nGlide installed but in first person there's always a black glitch graphic appearing everytime I aim to the side for shooting with the pistol.

Since you're using nGlide, you might have better luck asking on the nGlide forum. http://www.zeus-software.com/forum/

Which wrapper would you recommend?
Or can you run the game in Glide without one?
