I think I might have encountered my very first quest breaking bug in Inquisitor. As the title suggest, it concerns Tinthan and the problem I have is that I can't complete his quest. I can either give money to the innkeeper or threaten him ( I'm playing as a priest ) and both option seem to work just fine but when I go back to Tinthan, I don't have the option to tell him I've resolved his problem, I can only answer him with No, there are no other dialogue options.

The second problem I have with Tinthan is that I can't ask him about the soldier he supposedly saw with the undead. That is to say that I do have the option to ask him but when I click on it, it immediately exits the dialogue...

After you talked to the innkeeper you also have to talk to the Grand Duke to solve Tinthan's problem.

Thanks a lot, that solved my first problem, however now he's gone and I can't actually solve my second problem. So the question is : Can I still prove that Harph is guilty without Tinthan's testimony ?
The guy is in West Glatzburg so try checking high and low at that place before anything. He is near Guss Halworth if that helps.

No, I don't mean he's gone to the city, he's left for good after retrieving some letters from the cardinal for me :).
Thankfully, I have a save before I resolved his problem ( because once you do, there's no way to not ask him to help you with stealing... ) but even then, the problem is that when I click on the following dialogue : "It's come to my knowledge you've seen soldier Harph entering the deserted city sewers accompanied by undead. Is it true ?" the same thing happens as if I were to click on "That's all, farewell." Has anyone else had the same problem or is it just me ?
The point of act II onwards (I think) is that you can permanently screw up quests

Act 1 theres no way to fail the quests short of killing innoccent NPCs when you aren't supposed to.

Just like how you need to get permission to arrest that deamigo guy before talking to him, otherwise he disappears.
i'm in act 2 now and i already have 2 quest breaking bugs for act 1, they aren't important quests but i was really upset at the time.
one of them was my fault i killed the hermit guy that assists the executioner so i was unable to finish that quest. and on the road to dragon rock i wasn't able to interact with the paladin to tell him that his friend is dead, i did the quest in a different file so i already knew what do but it's not possible to talk to him like he died by a monster but he's just standing motionless
it's not a bug, it's dumbness. sure you can't finish quest if you kill npc responsible for it...

I didn't mean quest bug for the first one that was my mistake, but the 2nd one is surely a bug. i didn't kill knight at the road to dragon rock after talking to him the first time he became inactive

We are looking into this issue - gruia sent me your save, if I'm not mistaken. I was going through Tinthan's dialogue script, but saw nothing explicit (but I do have a suspicion there is a condition missing in his script for when the player doesn't have enough popularity with him at the time he asks this question). I had to send it to the dev though and I should know more tomorrow.

I'm also playing as a Priest and I've solved his quest easily. You just need to go to the grand duke Heidrick after you bribe or threaten the innkeeper and he'll allow Tinthan to return to the city after a bit of dialogue.

Regarding soldier Harph's case, you need to speak with everyone in the city about the undead and if I remember correctly only one person besides Tinthan had something to say about Harph: it was a soldier in the barracks, more precisely in the room to the right of the sheriff's room. After that I went to the sewers (entrance in the northeast part of Glatzburg east) and found Harph's hideout and his diary. With his diary in my inventory I went to Tinthan (Wasteland map for those who haven't found him) and asked him about Harph, he then replied that he doesn't know what I'm talking about, but when I told him about Harph's diary, he told me the whole story and his testimony allowed me to burn another heretic on the stake. A good day :)

Hope this helps!
Tinthan has completely disappeared in my game. I have burnt the three heretics, found tom clifford, killed de Weerin, made a deal with the master paladin, found the hammer, found the foundation stone. I cleared tinthans name with the innkeeper and the duke after i killed the three heretics and now tinthan has disappeared. I checked the wasteland many times, not there, and also west glatzburg. I cant progress without the letters that Truncquillius has. Is this a game killer? Or is there something else that you have to do to get Tinthan to appear in West Glastzburg?

Note: I have not been able to find him to tell him that he ahs been cleared.

Tinthan is located in West Glatzburg near the fountain south-west of the blacksmith. If he isn't there or in the wasteland, it's definitely a bug and I have no solution for that.

Thanks, it's indeed gruia who sent you my save, it's good to know that you're still supporting Inquisitor :). As regards to my problem with Tinthan, I also have a similar suspicion to yours. I think no one else has had this problem before because they've already done his quest ( which makes him go back to town from what others said ) and so I'm guessing that's where the problem stems from.

The fact is that I've already made enough progress in the main quest that if I do resolve his quest, it leads to a chain of event that ends up with him leaving town and there's nothing I can do to interrupt that. Long story short, I'm kind of screwed and I can't rise in rank because of that. I hope you guys can figure out something for me to find a way around this problem.

Thank you very much for trying to help me Dsuljic, it's very much appreciated but I'm afraid that the problem I have is, like I've mentioned a bit further in this topic, that asking the question results in an exit out of the dialogue without him saying anything at all.
Feidlimid: Your issue really relates to the fact that you don't have enough popularity with Tinthan for him to answer you, and there really was a condition for this state missing in Tinthan's dialogue script. The dev deleted the popularity condition and the dialogue is working fine with your save now.

BTW: We never said we wouldn't support Inquisitor. In fact, we have been preparing a new patch since the day the game was released and new issues started to come in. It's just the matter of what we can and cannot fix:-/
