Is there any hope that a mod/patch disabling enemy respawn will ever be released?
Unfortunately, monotonous monster killing nullifies all advantages of the game.

Also if you are playing Thief as I do then Stealth is a real gem to avoid silly fights for bugger all XP.
I'm not mentioning it is good to bring down normal groups of enemies as well with a little danger to your person. :)
