Good to hear a sequel to Inquisitor is planned. Hope it comes to GOG.

Although I didn't enjoy the stamina system (to the point to kill my interest on the game), I didn't find hard to read their english texts (I tried the game the last year).

The potion quaffing is a huge drag, as well as the general monster difficulty level. I highly recommend playing it in EASY difficulty to reduce the difficulty of combat and make it more enjoyable. Just spam spam spam those drink-potion keys. It is really worth it!

I'd go for a spin-off or maybe a prequel.
Style-wise, I think an adventure game with RPG elements would fit nicely.

And since I don't cheat stats-to-win (Testing the "balance" of the game, didn't save) nor do I ever play on "easy" I will however, console potions which is why I ended up buying this game, but I still ended up uninstalling it, as it's too unbalanced for the battle mechanic that it uses, if it was turn-based, it would have been on par with Baldur's gate/Divine Divinity/Torment as it stands, my HDD has been lightened, unfortunately, as it's a flawless piece of work nonetheless...

It is the only game I have ever played on EASY. I'm normally a medium/normal difficulty guy and sometimes I'll do advanced/hard depending on how I feel. But Inquisitor is plenty hard enough on easy, like, wow, it's hard! I can't imagine trying to do some of the harder battles on anything but easy. But also, my first char (and only char I've played with) was a Paladin, and they apparently are harder to play with than the Thief or Priest, but still, yeah, easy is the wtg for this game simply because of the combat mechanics/potion-quaffing, it's well worth it though!

Hmmm, seeing as I started out on Paladin, I might reinstall to try out the thief, even though I like the Paladin's lawful good ethos as far as this game's world is concerned...Bah, I'm usually a chaotic good char anyways, I suppose I could try again...drealmer7

Then, when I play again, whenever that may be, a Priest that is absolutely corrupt, evil, loves to torture, pawn of the church who pushes their motives forward and, well, we will see where it leads me, I'm pretty sure it'll be fun (I typically play chaotic-good, but, when the options for evil are so fleshed out, it can be fun to play that way.)
And perhaps whenever I might play it again after that (could be 15 years!), I want to do a Thief who is a do-gooder, never for profit, but all for the right and good choice and finding the Truth and making sure the bad-guys are all caught and made to meet justice and never torturing any one.
You can play any way with any character, really, you don't have to be tied to any way with any character, though that might be obvious.
Definitely give it another go, it's great, despite its roughness.

drealmer7: I actually semi-planned out 3 characters that I wanted to play for the 3 classes since it has such role-playing variety+consequences. The Paladin (on pause for now, I haven't played in a while because got a bug that made me start over [don't tab out of the game] and, well, I am thinking maybe I'll start the Thief I'm thinking about) I am doing a mixed character, making moral choices and not too influenced by the church but still doing his job and where he can, doing things that advantage him and making money, more out for himself, wary of the authorities but not getting too far out of line, also will turn to torture out of duty to make sure he has the Truth - a little bit of a grey character.

I wonder how dex favors your hit rate? If it improves it I'll be pumping my characters with dex/con/int! What good is being strong when you have to miss 18 times in order to land 2 hits? ;^)

I'm just restarting this game again, loved it the first time I played it years ago but I didn't finish. Did you manage to play through it again like you planned with your Thief character? If so, how'd it go? my first playthrough got bugged and I had to start over started over as as thief, and am liking it a lot still, but haven't gotten very far
