Kovi: I'm not sure I heard about such a problem before, but if you are sure you meet all requirements for the chain mail then it could be a bug indeed. If you want to please send me your save to kovar[@]cinemax.cz so that I could have a look at it, maybe I will notice something. Luckily, it doesn't seem that priests need a Disciple-class armor to finish the game as my priest needed just a leather Apprentice-class armor (with a handy +10 to all attributes bonus).
As far as as that red squares bug goes, this is an untreated memory leak for which there is no fix. If a red square appears in your UI, quit the game, launch it again and load the latest save. You can also try to save your current position but better use a new slot for it because the slot could get corrupted when saving with red squares on.
Thank you Mr. Kovi for emailing me with the following important information. You have resolved my issue.
From Mr. Kovi: "Thanks for the saved game. Looking at your stats, I can see that:
- you are only an Apprentice in the Armor Use skill which is why you cannot wear a Disciple-class armor
- the reason why you are only an Apprentice is that your Strength is not high enough (you need attribute level 20 without any bonuses granted by magical items, and if you remove your Prosecutor ring giving +11 to Strength you will see that you have only 18 points in Strength)
- adding 2 attribute points into Strength will promote your priest to Disciple and will allow you to wear both chain mails.
"And since you say you already were able to wear these mails and since I can see you standing near the exit from the Hillbrandt's Cemetery Tomb I have a suspicion that the vampire Herbertius down in the tomb has stolen some Strength points from your priest as he is one of a few characters in the game capable of doing so. In this case, you have several options - you can play along and keep going, or you can reload and try killing him without him stealing any attribute/skill points from you, or you can use a cheat to get your lost points back.
"If you decide to cheat, do this:
- press ~ (next to 1)
- type \addattribpts X or \addskillpts X (X = the number of attribute/skill points you want to add)
- press Enter."
