jcgea: Hi. I'm trying to download the mouse files both from Revenger and zaretina, but none of them works. Can anyone drop a valid link again? I want to play this fantastic game all again (thirteen years after) trying to experience mouse+keyboard config...

Thanks!

7upMan: You are aware that Ravenger's mouseini.jpg is the mouse.ini renamed to mouseini.jpg because GOG's forum software can't attach the files otherwise. The same goes for zaretina's mouse.jpg. Just d/l the file and rename it.
Thanks, 7UpMan, but the problem is that I can't download the file at all. When I click the link, it leads me to the error screen I attach down there (in english: "The image can't be shown because it contains errors").

Thank you, anyway.

Right-click -> save as.

Ravenger: I'm not trying to argue with you - I'm trying to help you and provide a bit of context from someone who actually worked on the game.

I regret my influence at the time wasn't enough to give you the feature you require. Optimised mouse flight controls are something I thought necessary and it definitely would have opened up the game to a wider audience.

I've dug through my old work files and found the mouse control file, and atttached it to this post. The GOG forums don't support non-graphical attachments, so rename it to MOUSE.INI after you've downloaded it. Then place the MOUSE.INI file in the CONFIGS folder of your I-War 2 installation.

I hope you find it useful.
Ravenger, you did great, said the right things, but worked with someone blinkered

Having said that Joysticks were the best for space and airplane games

The reasons for their disappearance has more to do with certain developers and nonsense about not wanting to pay extra as anything else. Thing is there were and are folks who prefer joysticks and space sims - and that's a market.

reason I am resurrecting is I cannot find a way to copy or download an ini file from your mouse link - to apply to my (steam) copy of Edge of Chaos. Any tips for this?

Hi, the best place to get I-War 2 related files is the excellent fan site www.iwar2.com. They have a bunch of controller profile files, including mouse flight controls.

You can download them here:
