It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I'm using Windows 7 with an nVidia card and this game did not work at all for me until I updated my graphics card drivers to the latest version; after I did that, this game runs fine for me.

Sarranos: I had this problem on my main laptop with a Intel gpu for normal use and an nVidia dedicated gpu. I got it to work by right clicking on the icon and select run with graphics processor nVidia.
I had the idea to try this as it worked another laptop with only Intel gpu and much weaker specs.
Sorry which icon do you talking about?

Blake00: new patch on steam today that may fix this issue for all or at least some people, hopefully the delay to releasing it on here won't be as big this time.

EvilDoc: So far I have tried the following steps, none of which worked:

-Run in administrator mode (duh)
-Run with various compatibility / os settings
-DirectPlay off
-DirectPlay On
-Installed DirectX9.0c June 2010 Redistribution
-Installed DX9 through web installer
-Restarted system (Several times)
-Installed K-Lite Codec pack
-Uninstalled K-Lite Codec pack
-Installed RAD Video Tools (Bink SDK)
-Reinstalled game 3 or 4 times (after completely uninstalling it)
-Changed CPU affinity / priority while task was running.
-Changed settings: V-sync on / off, window mode on / off

EDIT: In ig2.settings, appears a line: "Mobile style side bars", so it seems like this is INDEED the re-port back to PC from Android version.... GAH!

YPierrot: Upon suggestion from Gog support, I updated my (Nvidia) graphic card driver and it worked! The game is running now here.

I have the same problem, is there still no solution?
Same issue on Linux/Mesa. Maybe it's the same problem. The game generates shaders that are invalid (using a variable not present in the advertised GLSL version). Mesa is stricter than commercial drivers, I guess, and rejects the shaders. I had a similar issue on Stars in Shadow, so I adapted my fix there for this game, and it works perfectly now (so far). If you're using Linux, see my game support page for ig2-hack.c. Something similar could probably be done for Windows, but I don't know (and don't want to know) how. Alternately, if it were possible to force ig2 to use GLSL 410 instead of 460 or whatever via some internal configuration, that would solve it as well.

Thank you! Your fix working perfectly with integrated intel vga on Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS.
