Sacurus: Hey, sorry for being such a newb. This was one of my fondest memories growing up, and I relish playing the game again. I paid and downloaded from GOG and followed instructions I saw on this forum for troubleshooting, but I encounter the winCD issue. Hpw the hell do I create a .iso file I can mount which will let me play? (would be even cooler if it was the game's original soundtrack).
Goodaltgamer: creating a real one is a different beast.....
What you could do:
Create a empty text file, rename the ending from .txt to .iso (for this you have to have the option enabled to see the file-extensions)
right click and mount it. Shall not matter that it will fail I think.
It is just about that stupid windows is getting tricked into thinking that you have a 'CD' drive on the system, which it will do in this moment, even as it fails to play the iso-file. It will add the registry and so on settings to the system, which are not there prior by default.
If this fails and you don't want to visit certain sites, you could also download the free virtual clone drive.
