Hi, dont know if anyone else is experiencing this, but after almost every battle I have a crash to desktop, if i reload i can maybe get through 1 fight, but never 2 in a turn. Im running vista, and I've tried to patch the game but only get 'Imperial Glory is not installed' (must be the way gog installs it).
Anyone got any ideas, because I like this game and want to play it :(

Hey, have you tried setting the shortcuts compatibility mode to windows98/ME? If you right click the games desktop shortcut and select properties, then go to the compatibility tab you will see the options there.
That seems to have sorted it, thanks mate I appreciate it :)

No problem, enjoy the game!
Hmm...I tried setting compatibility to Win98/ME but still get BSOD and system reboot in battles. It seems to be triggered by cannon or musket fire.

What does the BSOD say?
BSOD is only up for a split second but I will try to see what it says next time it happens.
Edit: I think the problem is sound driver related since Imperial Glory crashes on my XP rig with Creative sound card no matter what I do but does not crash on my Win7 laptop with onboard sound.

I am unable to bring up "Properties" on the game icon/shortcut so that I can adjust compatibility. Any one know where else I can find it?
I know this is an old topic. I was looking here myself for an answer to why Imperial Glory crashed after every battle. I tried setting the compatibility of the .exe file or shortcut to win98/me. That did not work. I'm running 64 bit windows 7. What did work though, was setting compatibility to windows xp sp3, and running the game as administrator. I've been happily battling away for hours now, with no crashes. I just wanted to post this, in case others were still having problems.

For those who are less technically inclined. Find your shortcut to Imperial glory, right click on it, and go to properties. Select the Compatibility tab, and check the Run this program in compatiblity mode for:

I would try both win98/me, and windows xp sp3, as both seem to work for different people. When you run the game, right click on it, and select run as administrator. Hopefully that helps a few people.

One final note. If you can't find your shortcut, then find the imperialglory.exe file on your pc, and change the properties on that file. When you run the game, right click on the .exe file and choose run as administrator. Or, you can right click and drag the imperialglory.exe file to your desktop, and create your own shortcut.
