I am running windows 10, 64 bit and the sound on my game IL2 Sturmovik 1946 just stopped working. Any info. on this?

Not sure about Win10, but there's an old issue with IL-2's sound (at least with the original games, before the 1946 version). Go to the installation directory, find the conf.ini and check out if the SoundUse=1 line under [Sound] is actually set to "1". If it is set to "0", the game won't produce any sound at all, so you want to check out it just in case.
