I and friends try to host a server to play only together. Hosting works very well, but when it's ready the others can not join this server.
For example, I create a server, wait until it's ready and i let know about it to friends. Then, they pushes "join", and waits. First loading is not succesful and an error occurs - Remote host lost: Reason Timed Out.
Everyone has a gog version, first 1.09, later 1.10 and nothing changed. We play without mods.

Everything is ok, when we join another server, created by strangers.
Please help :(

My problem is still unsolved...

There can be a half dozen reasons why you're not able to host. Examples are , firewall settings, ports open both ways, ect. I suggest the HyperLobby forums for answers.
Or HyperLobby chat. Good luck. ~S~
You need to make sure that your Router is forwarding the proper ports to your PC. Otherwise, when your friends try to join, your router will not know what to do with those packets and just discard them instead of sending them to your server.

TCP port:21000
UDP port:21000

Make sure these are forwarded to your PC (192.168.1.x) IP address in yuor routers "game or application" tab.

My bro and I had a similar problem. After trying a bunch of things (from ports, routers and Hamachi -- all with Hyperlobby) the thing that worked for us was a program called TeamViewer.

TeamViewer has lots of different functions, but one of them is to create a VPN. I have a few different methods of making a VPN, but this is the only program that allowed us to play IL2.

All we did was install it, each of us turn on the program, and then the host dialed our user name and password to make the VPN.

Once the connection was established, we started up IL2 and the server was immediately available.

I hope that helps.
Thank you very much for replies. I'll try to solve that problem during the christmas, armed to the new knowledge ;)
