FYI my Chrome has blocked downloading the Windows Patch for Ignition as malicious (see the screenshot).

Why is it so important for people to have the 3dfx NGlide version? What's the difference?

The glide wrapped version of many games are superior (in my experience) for the following reasons:
1, nGlide and the other glide-wrappers lets you change the output resolution, while retaining aspect. So, I can run camageddon 2 in 2560x1600 in a 4:3 box and it looks correct AND has very high resolution, with no performance penalty.
2. The glide wrappers are actually MORE compatible with WINE (If you're a Linuxy sortta guy like me) than the games native Direct3D ccode.
2. Some games had better graphics (tm), like Diablo2

Can't GOG make a menu option to select either option and fix the music?

Alternatively, you can use the windows' executable instead since the latest dgvoodoo2 can do earlier directx better now.

copy the contents of folder MS\x86, dgVoodooCpl.exe, and dgVoodoo.conf from dgvoodoo zip file into the game folder.

extract the patch in the game folder.

edit dgVoodoo.conf and look for the following similar lines (adjust to the following)

FullScreenMode = false
ScalingMode = stretched_4_3_crt

KeepWindowAspectRatio = false
CaptureMouse = false

ImageScaleFactor = x:3 y:4

WindowedAttributes = fullscreensize

AppControlledScreenMode = false
DisableAltEnterToToggleScreenMode = true

Some of the options above can be found in the dgVoodooCpl like in the uploaded screenshots. Also adjust output API and Videocard in the dgVoodooCpl accordingly.

Once you launch the game, head to gfx options, and select 320x200 resolution. Personally the game looks better blurry.

This + dgVoodoo is what worked best for me. In the DOS version I had some weird framerate / speed issues, making the gameplay very uneven.
This Windows version does not understand the music provided by gog though, so I had no music at all. However, I simply used my favorite music player to play the tracks from the music folder in the background. I do not believe that the music is dynamic, doing it this way worked quite ok for me therefore.
