Thanks for the help.
i just beat neverwinter nights, i thought this game would be like baldurs gate but the graphics look horrible.

i'll play a bit and see how it is. thanks.

Do you mean the game is performing badly, or you just don't dig the graphics style? If the former, try this:

Run the config utility (it's in the main IWD folder). On the Graphics tab, under 3D Options, check the 'Use OpenGL 3D Acceleration' box as well as 'Use 32 Bit Textures'.

Under 2D Color Depth, make sure you have 32-bit checked as well.

Under the Game Options section in the same tab, put a check mark in everything except Sprite Mirroring.

See if that makes a difference.
