OK, I've looked all around the web to try and find an answer, but all the answers involve having EEK look in documents for the saves. But there is NOTHING IWD related in that folder, nor in My Documents. I cut and pasted a save game in both folders, it wont pick that up. I've tried having it go from the GOG IWD main folder, the save folder, to the numbered save file itself. no go Even pasted a copy of a save game in the gog iwd main folder,,,nope.

What am I doing wrong?????
Any help would be appreciated!

Open EE Keeper and go to 'Settings' >> 'Installation Directory'. You must make a profile. All of the instructions are there in the dialog window at the bottom. Follow them.

It wants to default to "C:\Users\User 1\Documents\" but there is nothing IWD related there. I have tried to path it to other locations in the GOG IWD stuff...., no luck. I have pasted copies of a saved game in other IWD folders in the GOG directory in hopes that it would somehow pick a file up, nope. So, I then pasted a save game in the default directory that it wants (The C:\Users\User 1\Documents\ ) but it wont pick that up either.

I made profiles, I set the language...I followed the directions...I have pathed this thing 6 ways to sunday when that failed....

Still having no luck.

I have to ask a stupid question: do you have "Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition" or "Icewind Dale: Classic" installed?

Do you have full administrative permissions in that profile?

You also need to clarify dr.schliemann's question about which version you are using.
