IwubCheeze: It comes at level 12, so quite a bit later in the game than we'd like. I've never tried an IWD2 playthrough with reliance on bashing locks though so I'm afraid I can't say if it's a viable strategy.
I did this in my most recent playthrough. I had no problem opening every lock I encountered with a maximum strength half-orc barbarian, although there were a handful of locks towards the end of the game that required several attempts to open. I also had a wizard invest as much as possible in disable device to get me through the traps. Again, there were a handful that took a couple attempts. Given how IWD2 inexplicably nerfs the Rogue's sneak attack, I'd say it's worth the inconvenience to ditch them from your party lineup.
