The '1469' error can indicate a corrupt save game. Have you used Dale Keeper or had a crash while saving ?

Do you have any earlier saves that work ?

You may want to try right clicking on your Icewind Dale icon and choosing "Run as administrator" I think then the program should be able to save games to the c:\Program Files (x86) sub-olders where your game is probably trying to save.

Don't install the game to any protected folder. In Vista and Win7 the Program Files folders are classed as protected folders. As such, with the default OS security functions on (e.g. UAC, non-full-admin account) then although you can add things to the Program Files folder (installation), it won't let those files be changed afterwards (save games, for example, and game settings).

You can access the true administrator account (not an admin user which is the default user on OS installation, but the REAL admin user which is a hidden account) and you can turn off things like UAC, DEP and such, or run as admin. However, I find it much easier to just not install games to Program Files. Install games to somewhere like C:\Games or any other folder that you create.
I'm getting this too, when I hit the LOAD GAME button.
I I run it in administrator 1 only have access to 2 very early saves, I'm about 2-3rds of the way through.

If your lucky, it might just be a corrupt bitmap in your saved games.
Try deleting all the bitmaps from the save game you are trying to load.
