Has anyone ever encountered this issue? I have the Unfinished Business (version 5) mod installed and Ginafae never brings up Markeths ring (before or after I go upstairs and talk to him). When I talk to Marketh and tell him I won't let him go without giving up his badge his end dialogue line is literally the spell description for Larloch's Minor Drain!?!?!? I think it is supposed to be something like "you'll have to catch me first"... Once this occur's I appear to be stuck since I still can't get Ginafae to say anything about his ring so the gem cutter won't give an option to talk about a fake to swap. Been google searching and can't find anything like this and just wondering if I am completely stuck or if anyone has an idea of something i can do to fix?

Thanks in advance for any help!

That's definitely a bad reference in dialog.tlk, but what is causing it? It is most likely either a mod conflict, or you have been installing/uninstalling mods without doing a clean install -- most mods do not undo changes to dialog.tlk, and this can cause problems like you see here.

Thank you for the reply. I only ever did the install once so I definitely have not been installing/uninstalling mods. The mods I installed were Auril's Bane, G3 Tweakpack, IWD Fixpack and Unfinished Business... I don't recall the order because I did the install a couple of years ago, but I doubt there is anything I can do to fix it now... Just really odd because I never experienced any issues until got to Marketh, seems a long time to go before realizing I have a bugged install. Anyway, thanks again, guess I will have to play something else until I get over the frustration enough to start the game over...

Unfortunately Auril's Bane does not, in general, play well with others. If it gets installed after other mods it tends to break and overwrite a lot of stuff.

That's not to say it might not just be UB, and Marketh's component in particular. That one always seems to have some nagging bugs that I can never quite get rid of.
Thanks for the help, good to know! I actually found the IWD in BG2 mod so thought I would try that out. Started with clean IWD, HOW, TotL and installed IWD in BG2, IWD in BG2 tweaks, Unfinished Business and BG2 Tweaks (for ammo stacking). Got to the quest from Kress to kill Lysan and she wasn't there, consoled her in and was able to complete the quest. However, at the end of the Temple of the Forgotten god I made sure to click on the alter and I grabbed the mysterious liquid, but I can't complete the quest with Arundel. uninstalled and started over (this time also used a clean BG2 install, in case the fact that it was modded effected my IWD in BG2 install last time) and got the same issue at Lysan. I posted in the Gibberlings 3 forums, but haven't received any responses. Not sure if you can help here, but any advice would be appreciated! I tried looking around in Near Infinity, but don't know the first thing about modding. IWD in BG2 is a fantastic mod, but I am unable to fix the bugs to move forward (and I figure there may be additional quest bugs further in, based on the 2 I hit really early in the game.) Anyhow, thanks again for all of your responses, regardless!
